Jasmine E. Sessoms stands out as a distinguished leader across the civic, philanthropic, and political spheres within Philadelphia. A native of the city, her dedication and love for her hometown are evident in her extensive involvement in its development and community engagement. As the Chief Engagement Officer at the Community College of Philadelphia, Sessoms plays a vital role in managing government relations, enhancing corporate social responsibility, cultivating stakeholder relations, driving revenue growth, and advancing workforce development initiatives.

She is the visionary behind Center 1968, an initiative focused on promoting civic engagement and providing political education specifically tailored to Black women, and also the CEO of Firm 1968 which was born out of a commitment to drive meaningful change and empower organizations to make a lasting impact. Inspired by the revolutionary spirit of the year 1968 and the trailblazing legacy of Shirley Chisholm, we embrace the ethos of being "Unbought and Unbossed." Our mission is to provide expert guidance and strategic solutions that elevate our clients' missions and ensure success in every endeavor. Firm 1968, is a dynamic team of professionals with a wealth of experience in political fundraising, government funding, non-profit consultation, and corporate affairs. Our diverse backgrounds allow us to offer a unique blend of strategic insight, innovative thinking, and hands-on expertise. We pride ourselves on our ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver results that exceed expectations.

Before her launching these initiatives Sessoms made significant contributions as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Hilco Redevelopment Partners and as the Executive Director of the Hilco Redevelopment Partners Foundation, where she led efforts in community and government relations, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) projects, diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and workforce development.

Sessoms' career also includes a pivotal tenure as the Managing Executive Director of The Fund for Philadelphia. Here, she was instrumental in managing $17 million in grants aimed at fulfilling the philanthropic goals set by Mayors Michael A. Nutter and James F. Kenney. In 2014, she established She Can Win, a groundbreaking nonprofit dedicated to preparing and supporting women, especially women of color, to pursue political office. This organization has trained over 1,000 women nationwide and has collaborated with high-profile leaders, including a roundtable discussion with Vice President Kamala Harris in Philadelphia.

Her leadership and contributions have been recognized at both the local and national levels. Sessoms is an alumna of Morgan State University, holding a master's degree in organizational development and leadership from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her commitment to service extends to her participation on several boards and commissions, including the Cheyney University Board of Trustees, Philadelphia Health Partnership Foundation, and The Mann Music Center, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to her community and its future
